Z had art class at Hobby Lobby today and Daddy took him so I could prepare for playgroup at our house. Each month our playgroup had a letter theme and this months theme is the letter “I” so I decided to do “interesting things” for our theme. I had a bunch of science experiments planned for the kids and the back yard was filled with balls and things for them to do and I also had some snacks. We had 15 moms show up and about 25 kids and 3 infants. Hubby is still home since he left his job at Dell so he was able to play and help with the experiments. Besides, the kids just love Mr. B! He is a big kid himself.
We all had such a great time. It was fun to see everyone getting time to chat amongst friends and all the kids got along very well. Z did have some crying episodes, but we are working on that. He is just so sensitive and doesn’t like rough play so he cries when he is upset. We have decided to toughen him up a bit because I am afraid his friends will end up teasing him for crying so much.
After we got everything picked up, we went to a new fast food place for burgers and frozen custard. It was yummy. I would say it was a great day!
Ok this needs explaining. Hubby aired up a ball and it exploded. So of course the kids had to take turns wearing the busted ball as a hat. This is Z under the ball hat.
