My Grandpa P is not doing well. He had a stroke over a week ago and never got better. He is now at my cousin’s house in hospice care. We are all so very sad to see and hear of Grandpa P this way. I will be taking Z with me back home to be with family and hopefully to see Grandpa P before he passes. We love you so much Grandpa P and Grandma A. See you soon!

June 14, I went to the grocery store and Z pushed the cart and was such a big helper. Don’t get me wrong, we go to the store all the time and he is a big helper all the time, but this time I actually took a picture with my IPhone. I just had to share. Then we came home and played in the back yard. Z put a ball that had popped on his head like a hat. Silly boy!

Z took VBS at King of Kings Lutheran Church this past week, June 15-19. He and two of his friends from playgroup joined him in the class. The really had a nice time and the theme was GADGETS Garage. Gadgets = God Always Doing Great Exciting Things. It truly was a fun week! Z came home everyday singing a new song and had nice artwork. We can’t wait for VBS in July at another church 🙂

Friday, June 12, was another family fun night at Kaleidoscope Toys. We try to go every Friday night. Anyway, this wee the  Zooman from the Capital of Texas Zoo came and brought some amazing animals. It was so fun to see the kids get squeamish. Z of course was thrilled and not worried whatsoever! He even got up to hold a huge hissing cockroach. YUCK!

The Zooman also brought a prairie dog and a big snake. After the show, the owner of the toy store turned on a bubble machine and the kids played until they were kicked out of the store after closing time. What a great show!

Big storm

Posted: June 20, 2009 in Around the House, General Information

June 11 we had a big storm hit us FAST! The tornado sirens kept going off all night and the lights flickered. We had hail and really weird clouds that were perfect for a tornado. We had some hit nearby but we were safe.

June 9, Z got something in the mail from Mr. Puppet. Let me back up and explain a little first. I had sent Mr. Puppet a bunch of pictures from a performance we attended and gave him so feedback and in return, he wanted to send Z something. So here we are with this big package from Mr. Puppet. Z was thrilled to get something from him in the mail! It was a marionette puppet. This kid LOVES the puppet and immediately sent Mr. Puppet a thank you email. How thoughtful this 5 year old is! Thank you Mr. Puppet!

June 7, Sunday, hubby and I took Z to the pool for some fun in the sun. It has been really hot here so it was a nice treat! We had a fun time together and when we got home we decided to order pizza and have a picnic on the back patio. It was a nice evening for a picnic outside. After dinner, we opended the sandbox and saw 3 frogs and started to play with them. Of course we freaked them out, but it sure was fun to do. They were hopping all over the place. We all laughed so hard and really had fun.

Ok, so Z is no longer into the sports theme in his room. Well, he never really was in the first place. That was my idea. Anyway, after hearing him say how much he hated his room in sports stuff, I decided it was time for him to pick out his own stuff. So I took him to Target and he picked out Star Wars Clone Wars bedding. Then of course we went from there. Had to remove the sports stuff hanging in his room, including his sports ceiling fan. Now he has a rocket ship ceiling fan, a few pictures on the wall and a new lamp and alarm clock. The locker stayed as it is his night stand. This little boy is THRILLED with his new room! Worth every penny spent!
