June 22 – 27, 2014: C (Roo) came to stay with us again. Z and C are the bestest of friends and they always have a great time together! We always stop at the store to stock up on junk food for the boys and today was no different. Check out the shopping cart of crap.

The boys had such a blast! They played video games, Jenga, played outside, had their trampoline time, had water fights, went roller skating, went to the indoor pool fun place in Lynnwood, went to the park, and gobs more stuff. Love these boys so much!!!2014-06-22 16.01.082014-06-22 16.47.532014-06-24 22014-06-24 13.58.082014-06-24 14.15.322014-06-24 14.17.20-12014-06-24 14.18.482014-06-24 14.39.232014-06-25 13.54.392014-06-25 14.10.242014-06-25 15.18.302014-06-25 17.06.372014-06-26 12.57.012014-06-27 11.17.38

May 24 – 27, 2014: T and her crew came to visit and we were able to celebrate K’s 8th birthday together. These kids are the best of friends! I just love watching them play and have fun. Love T and her crew so very much!

February 19-24, 2014: Z decided he didn’t want to have a birthday party this year for his 10th birthday. Instead he only wanted his best friend to come stay with us to help him celebrate his birthday. It so happened that Z was out of school for winter break but C was still in school in Portland. So we asked if he could maybe skip a day of school to come here. T needed up allowing C to skip school for two days! So C got to come stay with us for an extended weekend of boy fun!

Before the fun could begin, we had a Cub Scout obligation to do at our Chartered Organization so C came along for the fun. The Kiwanis Club members are always so welcoming to our scouts and they even had a cake for us. They served all of us lunch and then our scouts put on a program for the members. We talked about all the fun things in scouting that we get to do and each scout talked about certain topics. We put on a skit and even played BINGO with the members. I think C had fun sitting with B and watching.

As soon as the Kiwanis program concluded these boys went full force playing. I am always so proud at how they play. They never fight or argue. They get along perfectly. We took the boys to drive go-karts and they got to jump on the velcro wall, we took them roller skating and even to an indoor pool with slides, and stuff. We even hit the Lego Store at the mall and went to dinner at The Ram. I would say it was a perfect birthday extended weekend for Z with his bestest friend! Thank you T for letting us keep C!

Buddy Time

January 1 to January 4, 2014: Happy New Year! What a great way to start off the year – Z getting to spend time with his best friend! Those boys always have such a great time together and never ever argue. We didn’t get many pictures during this trip but just know they had a blast. Up early each day and to bed late because that is how we roll on school break :-).

So let me explain the last picture here. The boys were shooting bb guns and had fun doing so. But they thought it would be way more fun to shoot at a more fun target. So during some after Christmas shopping they found some Justin Bieber wrapping paper and thought that would be the most awesome target. Well, I have to say… was. They had a blast! Hahaha

May 26, 2013: T and her family came to town to celebrate K’s birthday. The party was at a roller skating rink. It was so much fun! I just love to roller skate! All the kids had so much fun and K was such a pretty birthday girl! Happy birthday sweetie!

After the party, everyone came to our house to spend the night. Z had a blast playing with the kids! T, K and I even got to slip away and get pedicures while the boys played street hockey. I just love it when we get to see T and her family!

July 29 – Aug 5, 2012 we got to keep Z’s best friend. Z and C grew up together when we lived in Portland and have stayed the bestest of friends ever since! We did so many things when C was here! The boys got to; rent movies, play video games, build Legos, go shopping at the Lego store, go shopping for clothes and Skylanders, play at  Chuck E Cheese, spend hours jumping on the trampoline and playing on the zipline, take the dogs to the dog park, play at the park, swim in Pine Lake (this was unplanned but they had a blast), and even go to Wild Waves water park. It was sad to see C leave. These boys had a blast and B and I love having C around! Thanks T for giving us your boy for a week!

3-31-2012: T was throwing a baby shower for her brother that day and we thought C would have more fun playing with Z than at a baby shower. So Z and I got up early (it was early for us on a weekend) and drove to G’s house to pick C up for the day. Before we even got to the house those boys convinced me to stop at Target to shop for Skylanders. Those kids were in heaven getting a few new characters to play with. Then we came to the house and I made them little pizzas out of english muffins and I made a pan of brownies. Hubby and I also had a business meeting with K from Oregon that afternoon so it worked out perfectly that C was here to play with Z.

That evening we met T and S at Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in for dinner. We all ordered rootbeer floats for dessert. Those things are HUGE and oh so good!

Everyone stayed the night and left on Sunday afternoon. It is so nice that we get to see them often. It helps having her brother in town too because that way G and I both get to see more of her. When she visits one of us she always visits the other too. Win Win!

The bestest of friends are together again! I gave both boys all the center pieces of brownies. Lucky ducks!

T and S share this giant float.

We so drank every last bit of ours! SO GOOD!

2-25-2012: YEAH! Z turns 8 years old today! Hubby decorated Z’s room during the night so when Z got up he was so surprised! There was a ton of balloons on the floor and lots of red streamers hanging from the ceiling. What fun! Good job B!

We stayed home today and one of my best friends, T, came to visit Z for his special day. Of course she brought her beautiful kids to help Z celebrate his special day; we had a little party for Z. We ordered pizza and had cake! It was so great to see T and her kids again! T is family to us and Z and two boys pretty much grew up together before we moved to TX. So it was like a family reunion! Those kids had a blast playing! T and I caught up; I just love her to death! It was a perfect day with family!

Happy 8th Birthday Z! We love you so very much! We are so proud of you!

He just loves the decor in his room!

Love this goofy picture.

Z and the kids - or should I say his family.

T and her beautiful DIVA of a daughter!

Present time! Z and C were together everyday when we lived in OR before our move to TX. Is is so glad to see him again!

Look! It was OREO's birthday too. Haha...

Time for cake. T is going to help Z out!

The birthday boy! We are so proud of you Z! We love you more than you could ever know! Happy 8th Birthday!

Blowing out the candles.

Breakfast of champions the next morning! DONUTS!

J and J came for a quick visit last weekend (3-13 and 3-14 2011). I always love our time together! We don’t live far from one another yet we let too much time pass between visits. Must work to change that! We just spent the time around the house letting the kids play and we all chatted. We couldn’t pass up another opportunity to go to Rosa’s Cafe for dinner – LOVE THAT PLACE! We even had a little time to throw in some shopping at the mall.

The kids having a blast with my IPhone.

I just love the smiles!

March 5, 2011- This was T’s last day to spend with us. And was it jammed packed! The guys got up early and went to Home Depot to build the race car craft. S and C had never done that before and they really had a great time! The boys were so proud of their cars! When they got home, the boys helped me make a big pancake breakfast. They did such a great job and they were delicious!

Then the guys all went upstairs to build more lego creations. They played for hours and then went on an adventure in the woods again. This time they didn’t take the dogs. They were hoping to see more creatures. They sure did! They saw doodle bugs, centipedes, ants, and a huge scorpion. Z even ran into a classmate in the woods.

While the guys were having fun, T and I went to have a girls lunch away with some of my dearest friends here! T, S and K met us at Cheddars for a great lunch and some fun conversations. I am so glad they all got to meet T and vice versa. It means a lot to me that everyone was so kind to one another and willing to get together. Thanks everyone! Oh and I must not forget to thank S for the best brownies on the planet! They are always so good and was a nice surprise for T!

Later in the evening, we took some pretty pictures and we played the Wii – The Micheal Jackson Experience and then ordered pizza for dinner. None of us could go to bed since it was their last day here. So we all stayed up well past midnight. It was so sad to see them leave that next morning! I hope they come back soon!

Reading over the directions.

S and C having a great time!

Shadow is always near S! I am going to have to check S's suitcase to make sure he doesn't try to take Shadow home with him!
