Scouts perform the flag ceremony at the Kiwanis meeting

October 4, 2012: Our new Cub Scout Pack is chartered by a local Kiwanis Club. We have a great relationship with the organization and they asked a few of our scouts to do the flag ceremony at their Installation Meeting. We were honored to do it! We selected some of the very first members of the new Pack to present the colors. They did a wonderful job! The Kiwanis Club presented our Pack with a new American Flag (just beautiful). I got up front to present the Club with a certificate but emotions got the best of me and I began crying! This whole experience of starting a Cub Scout Pack for these kids is very special to me and without the support of the Club we would not be as successful as we are. My husband had to step in to present the award to the Club since I couldn’t stop crying. I know….I am an emotional mess 🙂
