RIP Tiger!

October 22, 2012: We had to put our kitty, Tiger, to sleep today as his body was shutting down. His temperature was 94 degrees and should be 102 degrees. His insides were covered in ulcers. His kidneys shut down.  It was so very sad! We have had to put several pets down in the past but for some reason this one was very hard on all of us. You see, I got Tiger for a birthday present in April 2003. We adopted him from the vet’s office. He was left at the vet’s office because this family found him in a dryer vent after finding out the rest of his family was eaten by dogs. So we raised Tiger form itty bitty. He was a skinny, sickly looking cat his whole life but he was very sweet – when he wasn’t biting you that is 🙂 He sat on my belly everyday of my pregnancy. He adored Zachary – when he wasn’t biting him that is. 🙂

While we were dealing with Tiger’s last few days with us he was very sick. We had to feed him tuna water; which stinks and I don’t think I can eat tuna anymore. We also had an emergency vet appointment because Shadow and Echo got into a fight and she sprained her foot. The following days she ended up in the ER because she was very sick. After tons of meds and a bland diet she got better. We sure had a terrible month of October at our house.
