2nd Grade Musical

Posted: April 10, 2012 in School

3-27-2012: Each class at Z’s school gets to put on a musical for both the parents and students of the school. The second grade class worked on a musical called “Moving in the Right Direction”. It was about being a leader and the 7 habits. This school implements the Leader in Me program and used the musical to help communicate some of the program’s message. (The Leader in Me is an innovative, schoolwide model that emphasizes a culture of student empowerment and helps unleash each child’s full potential. Applying The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®, teachers and students internalize timeless leadership principles that nurture the skills students need for success in the 21st century. For more information visit http://www.theleaderinme.org/.) There were a few selected kids per classroom to do a speaking part during the musical. Z got selected and his part was “Leaders listen to others’ points of view and try to understand things from their perspective.” He did a great job and wasn’t shy to speak in front of everyone. Good job Z! We loved the musical!
