Thanksgiving performance at school

Posted: November 18, 2008 in School

Today, 11-17-08, was “treats feast” at Z’s school. The kids have been practicing songs for the performance and made cute crafts to decorate the tables. Each parent in each class was supposed to bring some kind of food for the feast. I volunteered to help make trays for the event. So once everything was in place, Daddy and Grandma C joined me to watch Z sing on stage. He was so proud up there and didn’t act shy whatsoever! He told me that he was going to sing on stage, but never told me what they were going to sing. Well, I got to find out! What a treat! I literally sat on the floor right in front of Z and watched every hand motion and every movement of his little mouth. I was so proud and still am! And his Daddy recorded the entire thing.

Afterwards, we all had some wonderful snacks and got to chat with our friend T and her family. Z was feeling adventurous and wanted to try some celery. He even asked me to take a picture. He soon learned that celery was not one of his foods on his “like” list. But at least he tried it!
