I must first start by saying I am usually the one who has her Christmas cards all ready to mail out on Thanksgiving weekend. But this year I did not feel like it was going to get done. I was telling my dear friend, D, about how I was going to be behind this year and I was not happy with myself when she proceeded to tell me she was ready to mail ALL her stuff on December 1. That meant cards and out of town gifts. And since I am so competitive by nature, it was SO ON! I spent the day today filling out my Christmas cards, wrapping a few items to send out of town and decorating the house which included putting up the Christmas Tree. Thanks to my dear hubby and son for their help putting up and decorating the tree. Plus we are starting a new tradition in my house this year so hubby and I had to wrap 25 Christmas books (books we already had and a few new ones) so Z can open a book each night to read before bed.
So I can check the items off my list and sit down to watch some television. Oh yes, did I mention I sent pictures of my finished work to my dear friend D? Please don’t think I am totally nuts, SHE STARTED IT! She sent the pictures to me of her completed tasks. Yes, I know we are silly.
I can’t wait for Z to get home from school tomorrow because I want to bake in the kitchen whatever he wants to make, cookies or cupcakes. Then we will do a few crafts. What fun the holiday season it going to be at our house this year! And to top it all off, we do have a booked December so be sure to check back to see what we are up to.
